Rosanna Davison has opened up about the hard time she has been facing as she continues to wait, even after two years, to apply for legal guardianship for her daughter Sophia, who was conceived through surrogacy.
The mum-of-three gave birth to twin boys Oscar and Hugo, 11 months, while her elder daughter, Sophia, 23 months, was born the year previously via surrogate.
Rosana’s struggle to become Sophia’s legal guardian comes from regulations in place that state the mother or second parent of a child born through surrogacy cannot legally consent to medical treatment for their child for the first two years of their life.
