Vladimir Putin, 69, is likely suffering from Parkinson's and early-stage dementia as well as a 'Stalin-like paranoia'. Since his invasion of Ukraine two months ago, Putin's increasingly frail and unhinged television appearances have fuelled debate that he is ill and possibly suffering from a terminal disease.
Now former spy Boris Karpichcov, 62, has said Putin's 'strongman' image is nurtured at all costs meaning his close staff could also be unaware of his health problems.
Speaking to the Sun, the ex KGB hardman theorised that Putin's behaviour stemmed from something very serious, which he thinks could be a combination of dementia and Parkinson's disease.
He said: "I am not a medic myself... but there is a serious concern that Putin is suffering from numerous physical health conditions - possibly from the sport injuries during his younger years."This is along with some issues which affect older people - such as Dementia in the early stages."Another potential issue might be - judging from how he moves - that Putin can is suffering from the initial stages of either Parkinson's, or another serious disorder caused by some form of cancer, brain tumour, for example."The ex-spy went on to claim that Putin's erratic behaviour stems from his fundamental belief that everyone in the upper echelons of Russia is a traitor.
