Detectives have launched an attempted murder probe after a man was slashed outside a Kilmarnock nursery last night.The 28-year-old was attacked at the rear of a nursery school in Craigie Street at around 9.20pm before making his way back to a flat on Jeffrey Street.The man was rushed to Crosshouse Hospital where he was treated for injuries including slash wounds.Officials say he remains in a critical but stable condition.Today, the surrounding area, including Turnberry Drive remain sealed off by cops as they continue their investigation.Detective sergeant Andrea Templeton, East Ayrshire CID, said: "From our enquiries so far, it appears that the man was attacked to the rear of a nearby nursery school in Craigie Street and then managed to
