Isobel Yeung is joining CNN as an international correspondent in the network’s London bureau. Yeung previously worked at Vice News as senior correspondent and producer, creating content for the brand’s platforms as well as HBO, Showtime and Hulu.
In nearly a decade with Vice, she reported around the globe and in numerous conflict zones. She won 10 Emmy Awards, a Peabody and the Foreign Press Association’s Journalist of the Year Award.
She was recently in the occupied West Bank for an investigation for the BBC on Israeli security forces. Her other recent stories have included one in which she went undercover to report on Chinese gangsters who laundered drug proceeds for Mexican cartels.
She also went to Iran to cover the uprising following the death of Mahsa Amini, and to a Russian summer camp holding Ukrainian children.
