And local shops, supermarkets and businesses will have to re-introduce social distancing protections and limit the number of people in their stores under the new guidance.
The First Minister outlined the new rules for the period before and immediately after Christmas - but the curbs will not be put into law.She did not propose limits on the size of household gatherings for Christmas Eve, December 25 or Boxing Day.
