Why Not‘ and his latest, have all reached the top of the UK albums chart, as has 2020’s ‘MTV Unplugged (Live at Hull City Hall)‘.It marks Gallagher’s eleventh chart-topping album overall, including his time in Oasis. Another live album ‘Down By The River Thames‘ has also entered this week’s chart at Number Four.Gallagher, who headlines the first of two enormous Knebworth shows tonight, said of the accolade: “What do we have here? The Kunts have announced their new single ‘Prince Andrew Is A Sweaty Nonce’, which is being released to tie in with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next month.The Kunts’ previous two singles, ‘Boris Johnson Is A Fucking C**t’ and ‘Boris Johnson Is STILL A Fucking C**t‘, both reached Number Five in the UK singles chart in 2020 and 2021 respectively, when they attempted to score a Christmas Number One.Now, the Essex punk band will release their new “jaunty sing-a-long” on May 27 via their own Radical Rudeness label.The song’s title and subject matter both disparagingly refer to the Duke Of York, who is the third child of the Queen, after he stepped down from royal duties in the wake of a civil sexual assault case that was recently brought against him in the US by Virginia Giuffre.Andrew, who repeatedly denied allegations that he sexually assaulted Giuffre when she was 17, reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre in February.

The Kunts have responded to comments made by LadBaby about their single ‘Boris Johnson Is STILL A Fucking C**t’, which they’re hoping will bag this year’s Christmas Number One.Earlier this week, LadBaby’s Mark Hoyle criticised The Kunts for their attempt to score a Christmas Number One with their song about the British prime minister.He told the Official Charts: “Definitely – it takes a certain sort of person to download a song with that in the title, but you never know.“There’s definitely an element that people aren’t happy with this government, but our song is for charity – I don’t believe theirs is – and ours is trying to raise more money than ever for food banks.
