Liam Gallagher‘s new album ‘C’mon You Know’ has gained the former Oasis man his fourth consecutive solo Number One album.All of Gallagher’s solo studio albums, 2017’s ‘As You Were‘, 2019’s ‘Why Me? Why Not‘ and his latest, have all reached the top of the UK albums chart, as has 2020’s ‘MTV Unplugged (Live at Hull City Hall)‘.It marks Gallagher’s eleventh chart-topping album overall, including his time in Oasis. Another live album ‘Down By The River Thames‘ has also entered this week’s chart at Number Four.Gallagher, who headlines the first of two enormous Knebworth shows tonight, said of the accolade: “What do we have here? Another Number One record brothers and sisters! Thanks to everyone whose bought ‘C’mon You Know’ and ‘Down By The River’.

Today, Harry Styles marks a mammoth nine weeks at Number 1 in the UK with As It Was. It becomes the longest-running UK Number 1 since Ed Sheeran’s 11-week long reign at Number 1 with Bad Habits last year. 

Universal Music continues to rinse the Sex Pistols brand off the back of the Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations and the new ‘Pistol’ TV drama. Now it’s a ‘God Save The Queen’ commemorative coin and some accompanying NFTs that you can get your hands on.Minted at “the Sex Pistol’s prestigious Pistol Mint” – by which I assume they mean some novelty tat factory – the souvenir coin features the classic Union Jack design from original ‘God Save The Queen’ artwork creator Jamie Reid on the front and his depiction of the Queen with a safety pin through her lips on the back.

The Kunts have announced their new single ‘Prince Andrew Is A Sweaty Nonce’, which is being released to tie in with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next month.The Kunts’ previous two singles, ‘Boris Johnson Is A Fucking C**t’ and ‘Boris Johnson Is STILL A Fucking C**t‘, both reached Number Five in the UK singles chart in 2020 and 2021 respectively, when they attempted to score a Christmas Number One.Now, the Essex punk band will release their new “jaunty sing-a-long” on May 27 via their own Radical Rudeness label.The song’s title and subject matter both disparagingly refer to the Duke Of York, who is the third child of the Queen, after he stepped down from royal duties in the wake of a civil sexual assault case that was recently brought against him in the US by Virginia Giuffre.Andrew, who repeatedly denied allegations that he sexually assaulted Giuffre when she was 17, reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre in February.

Having had two unsuccessful attempts to secure the Christmas number one in the last two years, The Kunts have announced a campaign to secure the number two spot in the singles chart as The Queen celebrates her Platinum Jubilee. Still to be unveiled, the track they hope will achieve that feat will be a ditty called ‘Prince Andrew Is A Sweaty Nonce’.As confrontational songs to coincide with royal celebrations go, it does make the Sex Pistols’ ‘God Save The Queen’ – which got to number two during the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977 – seem a bit twee.The band say that the song “is intended to re-open the conversation around [The Queen’s] son Prince Andrew’s conduct at this time when the establishment appear to want it swept under the carpet.
