Over 6000 children across South Lanarkshire are set to benefit from the doubled Scottish Child Payment benefit from April 2022.
Local MSP Máiri McAllan has welcomed the First Minister’s announcement and says it will be vital help for local families including those in her Clydesdale constituency.
The announcement will see at least 6745 eligible children across South Lanarkshire receiving £20 per week per child from spring next year, with more than 106,000 children across Scotland immediately benefitting from the increased payment. The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
