A Newmains man has been recognised in the Scottish Parliament for raising more than £200,000 for charitable causes.Davy Wilson joined the village’s Gala Day committee in 1980 and has remained a key part of it ever since.Motherwell and Wishaw MSP Clare Adamson recently put forward a motion recognising the local man’s “selfless volunteering efforts” that have spanned over 40 years.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
