A Lanarkshire charity champion whose life was turned around by Guide Dogs has met the puppy he named in memory of the woman who raised his first guide dog.
Scott Cunningham MBE has long praised the charity, Guide Dogs, for helping him get his life back after he lost his sight over the space of three weeks in 1993 when his optic nerves suddenly died away.
The 51-year-old told Lanarkshire Live: “Basically, my world had caved in because there was no future. There was no real reason to continue on with life.
