South Lanarkshire Council pledges to tackle homelessness with new service

South Lanarkshire Council have launched a plan to reduce homelessness significantly over the next five years.The council’s housing service has pledged to tackle homelessness in a report - presented to the 'housing and technical resources committee' earlier this month to work on mainstream equality and diversity.As well as preventing and reducing homelessness, the service has met the Scottish Government’s equality outcomes for 2017-2021, which include delivering housing and providing accessible new homes for a variety of needs.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
