Met Office has reported.According to meteorologists, increased geomagnetic activity gives counties as far south as Suffolk a chance of seeing the Aurora Borealis tonight.
In a tweet posted earlier this evening, the Met Office said: "Look north! Parts of the UK may be able to see the Aurora Borealis tonight.
Increased geomagnetic activity gives places as far south as Norfolk a chance of seeing the Northern Lights."Sightings will be most likely around midnight tonight, with residents in Scotland being the ones with the highest chance to witness the awesome phenomenon, which is seen far less frequent in the UK than in countries that are situated on a latitude closer to the north pole.
