dog has been snubbed on Valentine's Day after nobody turned up to his party. Battersea Cats and Dogs hoped throwing a party for Luke would help drum up some interest from potential adopters, but they were left to celebrate with the Staffy-type crossbreed alone.
Luke was taken in by the London-based charity as a stray six months ago but has since received almost no interest from the members of the public looking for a new pet.
A romantic Valentine's Day date was hosted for the five-year-old pooch over the weekend only for Luke to go yet another day without a glimpse of a loving forever home.
Having been at the charity's Kent branch for 206 days now, Luke has been on his own for five times longer than the average dog that comes into a Battersea home, reported The Mirror.
