Police are hunting a gang of crooks following a terrifying armed raid on a a convenience store in Heywood. Officers were called to the Village Convenience Store on Middleton Road at 9.05pm on Friday night (March 11) Two men entered the shop and one threatened a victim with a meat cleaver while the second man threatened the victim with a gun before assaulting him.

They are described as white males thought to be in their mid-20s. One male was wearing a blue coat with a grey fur hood, grey tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

The second was wearing a black padded coat with a hoodie underneath, grey jogging bottoms and black trainers with a white trim.
