Newcastle are set to go head to head with Manchester United for Kieran Trippier in January, according to reports.Trippier, 31, has spent the last two years at Atletico Madrid after completing a £20million switch from Tottenham in the summer of 2019.The England right-back has enjoyed great success in Madrid, getting his hands on the Spanish title last season as an integral member of Diego Simeone's side.However, amid rumoured interest from United over the summer, Trippier was said to have been keen on returning to the Premier League, only for a move to Old Trafford to never materialise.The Red Devils could well come back in for him at the turn of the year, especially given Aaron Wan-Bissaka's struggle for form at right-back so far this.
