Susanna Reid

Susanna Victoria Reid (born 10 December 1970) is an English television presenter and journalist. Reid was a co-presenter of BBC Breakfast from 2003 until 2014, along with Bill Turnbull and Charlie Stayt.

She has been a co-anchor of Good Morning Britain since 2014, and currently presents the programme alongside Piers Morgan and Ben Shephard.

She finished as a runner-up on the eleventh series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. She also presented Sunday Morning Live on BBC and Save Money: Good Food on ITV.

Susanna Reid fights back tears as she shares horrific Ukraine update with 16 kids hurt

Susanna Reid could not withhold her emotion as she updated on the situation in Ukraine as Russia carry out further attacks in Kharkiv.

The Good Morning Britain host, 51, appeared to fight back tears as she explained to ITV viewers that central Kharkiv had been hit this morning by a violent Russian strike.A video on Ukrainian social media showed frightful missiles slamming into the front of the Regional State Administration building.Another photo showcased a critically injured child as Susanna explained that her father had also been taken to an Intensive Care Unit after heavy fighting and aerial bombardments.Becoming tearful as she spoke to people at home, an emotional Susanna said with a shaky voice: "The medic shown in the background of that photograph is trying to save the life of that little girl."Her mother is in the photograph, she was sitting alone in the corridor outside sorting the few things that they had that they took together to the hospital."The child's father was rushed into ICU as well injured in the same shelling."Ukraine's President Zelenskyy says that 16 Ukrainian children have been injured."Susanna poignantly added: "Russia says it's not targeting civilians.""The pictures tell a different story," explained the host as she fought back tears in the heartfelt update.It proved to be another bloody night in Ukraine after Russia invaded the country last week.The Russian army is steadily continuing with its mission to take over Kyiv and dozens of civilians were killed on Monday by Russian missile strikes in Ukraine's second largest city Kharkiv.Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am.For more of the latest showbiz news from Daily Star, make sure you sign up to one of our newsletters here..
