Detectives in Middlesbrough investigating the disappearance of a 32-year-old woman have launched a major search operation which involves residents' gardens.
Natalie Jenkins from Thornaby, was last seen in December and detectives believe she had been murdered. Trained Cleveland Police officers working with a specialist search dog will ask residents in around 1,300 homes for permission to go into the front and rear gardens of their properties in central Middlesbrough on Wednesday.
During the search officers will be looking for clues or items belonging to Natalie who was a sex worker. The new step in the investigation follows long-term searches of Albert Park and Acklam Steelworks in April and May.
