A Good Samaritan found £800k in cash lying by the side of a road – before turning it all over to cops the same day. Mum-of-two Emily Schantz thought the two huge bags were full of rubbish – so stuffed them in her pickup truck to take to a local dump.
But she soon realised they were stuffed with nearly £800k in US dollars. The bags of money were believed to have fallen out of a US postal service van in Virginia.
Emily immediately called cops in Caroline County, upon making the discovery. She said: "Inside of the bag, there were plastic baggies and they were addressed with something that said ‘cash vault’. “We did the right thing and returned it.
