The Minneapolis Police Officer who knelt on George Floyd's neck in broad daylight as he begged for air shot another black man from close range during a domestic violence call 12 years ago.
Officer Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd’s neck while the handcuffed man cried out that he couldn’t breathe and suffocated before later dying.
A video captured the horrifying moment and has since sparked protests in Minneapolis state and calls for Chauvin to be charged with murder.
Chauvin was sacked, along with three other cops, as a result of the incident, and his history of use-of-force incidents have surfaced in the wake of George’s death.
