'Breaking Bad' copycat students 'kill teacher and chop up body to dissolve in acid'
Russian university students were allegedly inspired by a scene from Breaking Bad when they 'murdered their teacher, dismembered his corpse and dissolved it in acid'.The victim, Vyacheslav Kuznetsov, 58, was a renowned chemistry professor at a prestigious university. His students, Dmitry Bykovsky, 35, and Alexander Kharlamov, 31, allegedly killed him in order to steal his savings of 1.9 million Russian Rubles (about £18,700).After dismembering his body, the duo then allegedly transported and stored the body parts in hydrochloric acid and chlorine in containers, leaving them on the balcony of an apartment they had rented.Shockingly, they are even said to have invited friends over to the flat for drinks while the containers with the rotting body parts were just feet away. The horrific murder took place in the city of Voronezh in western Russia on March 4, 2020 - and the defendants are now on trial for the evil crimes.Bykovsky and Kharlamov allegedly turned up at Mr Kuznetsov's home and put chloroform over his mouth when he opened the door, before the victim died from injuries and acute chemical poisoning. The pair then allegedly decided to dismember his corpse and dissolve it in acid.Reportedly, Bykovsky - who was said to be close to the professor he killed - has been spotted smiling on several occasions during the trial.
