Boxing fans could be in for a festive treat as Tyson Fury considers taking on Deontay Wilder on Christmas Day. The heavyweight rivals are due to clash for a third time but the fight has been delayed by the coronavirus crisis.

Fury stopped Wilder in February to become world champion for the second time with the American immediately triggering his rematch clause.

But proposed dates of July 18 and October 3 have been shelved due to the pandemic with fans barred from sporting events. Fury’s promoter Bob Arum is now considering taking the fight to Australia or Macau at the end of the year.
