A man who allegedly stabbed his dad to death nearly decapitated him as he chatted to friends on Zoom. Police claim Thomas Scully-Powers, 32, confessed to killing his father after the Friday afternoon slaying.
During an arraignment on Friday, a prosecutor said Scully-Powers told police he "had to keep stabbing him" because he "kept breathing." He allegedly used several knives in the attack and sliced his father’s throat to the bone from ear to ear.
Scully-Powers also allegedly admitted to stabbing his father several times in the chest, then turning him over and plunging a knife into his back, an arrest report claimed.
