Covi Henry, 36, of Furness Avenue, Oldham has been charged with the following offences:*Section 18 wounding with intent*Possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply*Possession of a prohibited weapon*Possession of ammunition without a certificate*Possession of a firearm and ammunition when prohibited for lifeHe has been remanded in custody and will appear before Manchester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Saturday 6 June 2020).In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 10.30pm on Friday 29 May 2020, a 36-year-old man presented himself at hospital with serious stab injuries."Enquiries established that an assault had occurred on Saxthorpe Walk in Manchester."The injured man was attending a wake when attacked.
