Robert Bryan, 54, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. The particulars of the charge alleged that Bryan "unlawfully and maliciously caused grievous bodily harm" to a named victim "with intent to do him grievous bodily harm." Bryan, of Rochdale Road, Blackley, was due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court earlier today.

It follows an incident on Tuesday evening. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said just after 7:20pm an officer found a man in his 30s injured on Rochdale Road.
