Christine McGuinness rushed to hospital after dance with husband Paddy went wrong

Christine McGuinness required hospital treatment after a dance routine with her husband, Paddy McGuinness went wrong.The happy couple had been hoping to recreate the iconic lift from the 1987 film, Dirty Dancing during a holiday in Spain.Christine, 33, ended up hitting the bottom of the swimming pool which required a dash to the hospital having sustained injuries to her chin.But her injury saw her lose more than just a day of her luxury break, doctors told her she was unable to swim or sunbathe underneath the glistening Mediterranean sun for the duration of their trip, leaving her frustrated.In an excerpt of her memoir, A Beautiful Nightmare, the Liverpudlian said: "He lifted me up and I sort of went over to go into the water and I cut my chin open at the bottom of the swimming pool."Then I had to go to the hospital and get stitches on the first day."She continued: "After that, I couldn't go into the water or sunbathe!"I just wanted to be in Dirty Dancing and I bloody cut my chin open."The former Real Housewives of Cheshire star later explained that their romantic trip happened before welcoming their three children when Paddy, 48, first started presenting ITV's Take Me Out.She recently opened up on Paddy's health after the Top Gear presenter underwent surgery on his knee after waiting six months for surgery.However, she joked that Paddy was "absolutely" fine and was instead "milking" the attention during his recovery.Speaking to OK!

Magazine at the National Diversity Awards, she said: "He's a man he's got to try and rest as much as possible."It's an old injury and he's just been waiting for some time off work to get it sorted, and he has done now, so he's absolutely fine."His injury saw him pull out of Soccer Aid 2021.
