Man admits manslaughter of 47-year-old man in Droylsden

A man has admitted manslaughter in relation to the death of a 47-year-old man in Droylsden. Dean Farrell, 21, pleaded guilty to an offence of manslaughter.

He was originally charged with the murder of Ian Bent but has today (January 31) pleaded guilty to an alternate offence at Manchester Crown Court. READ MORE : The full list of parties included in the Sue Gray report On August 6 last year, police were called to Redesmere Close, Droylsden, at around 1.10am, following reports of a stabbing inside a property.

Mr Bent was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead. Mr Farrell, of Redesmere Close, Droylsden, will be sentenced on March 16 this year.
