Teacher faces sack 'for asking male students to bring semen-filled condoms to class'
sex education teacher is facing the sack after asking her male students to bring a condom to class – filled with their own semen. Parents in Bolivia saw red at the lesson, which was supposed to be part of a sex education class on the male reproductive system, and now the unusual lesson could cost the female teacher her job.The rather unique approach to lesson time was due to take place at the Juana Azurduy de Padilla school in the municipality of Minero by teacher María Inés Peredowho . READ MORE: Sex offender 'hopped over school fence and ran into restroom to sexually assault girl' Although it has been stressed the students were not obliged to do the 'homework', Peredowho has apologised for the 'misunderstanding', which is alleged to have led to accusations of corruption of minors.“I am a mother of a family with four small children and I am not a pervert,” she told Duty newspaper.Peredowho went on to explain it was to see how long sperm can live in a humid place or environment.“That was my goal as a teacher and not, as some media say, to pervert the students and have them masturbate and bring it in a jar, at no time was that my intention," she added. The lesson was to also warn girls to avoid this substance if they wanted to prevent pregnancies. However, it seems not everyone agrees with her decision with one parent denouncing the teacher in the Public Ministry for “corruption of minors”. 'Jurassic Park' scientists could bring dodo back from extinction after 400 years
dodo could be brought back from extinction by Jurassic Park-style scientists. After years of failed attempts, researchers have now been able to map the gene sequence of the flightless bird.Professor Beth Shapiro, from the University of California, Santa Cruz, said: “The dodo genome is entirely sequenced because we sequenced it.“It’s not been published yet but it does exist and we’re working on it right now.”Evolutionary scientists spent years trying to find dodo DNA that was in good enough condition.A breakthrough came when they got a sample from a “fantastic specimen” in Denmark. But they have warned it may not be easy to turn it into a “living, breathing, actual animal”.Prof Shapiro, 46, added: “The way we can do this is to clone it, the same approach that was used to create Dolly the Sheep.“But we don’t know how to do that with birds because of the intricacies of their reproductive pathways.“There are groups working on different approaches for doing that and I have little doubt that we are going to get there eventually.”To stay up to date with all the latest news, make sure you sign up to one of our newsletters here. The flightless 3ft tall dodo was wiped out in the 17th century, 100 years after it was discovered on the island of Mauritius. It was hunted and eaten by cats, dogs and pigs that had been taken to the island by sailors exploring the Indian Ocean at the time.

'Hot' mum slammed for wearing 'inappropriate' playsuit on the school run
mum faced criticism when she showed up at her son's school wearing a revealing outfit that almost exposed her butt.Vanesa Medina, who works as a lawyer and a fitness model, was filmed taking her child to school in the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra earlier this week.In the video taken by another parent, Vanesa sported a paper-thin pink playsuit for the school run.She got out of her car to send her son off to school, grabbing his bag from the back of the car.She ensured all attention was on her in the halter-necked outfit, which flaunted her tanned skin and toned butt. When she turns around, the woman behind the camera makes a comment and says it's "inappropriate" to wear in front of young children. The parent also claimed that it was not the first time to see Vanesa wore racy clothing on the school run. Images of the fitness model, who previously won the Miss Fitness contest in Bolivia, went viral on social media – and many parents said they considered her look inappropriate for a school setting.Following the fashion furore, the lawyer took to social media to hit back at critics. She said: "I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who sent messages of support, signs of affection and appreciation with such beautiful words, and defending me on social media over that video that went viral with bad intentions against me that the mother took, wanting to denigrate me, exposing herself with such contempt towards me, and exposing my four-year-old son without knowing that is a crime."Her plans did not go as well as she wanted.
