The actor, who is currently shooting the Apple TV+ series “Sinking Spring” in Philadelphia, had spent the morning in his building’s gym with his phone on “do not disturb.” As he stepped into the elevator following his workout, he turned his phone on. “It started pinging and banging with notifications. There was 130-something text messages. I opened the first one and just saw: ‘Congratulations.’ And I screamed.” At this point, they were trapped. “The doors of the elevator were closing. He can’t go anywhere now,” Henry says, then reveals the following exchange:

Eras Tour ticket holders will have “Enchanted” and “Bejeweled” outfits for the upcoming shows. The Eras Tour begins on March 17, starting in Glendale, Arizona. Then, Swifties can be found all over the nation, with shows in Nevada, Texas, Nashville, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Seattle, California and more, culminating in an Inglewood, CA show on August 9.

BreAnna Bell Netflix has announced Wanda Sykes’ upcoming hour-long standup special, “I’m An Entertainer” will arrive on the streaming service on May 23. The episode will premiere globally. Set at the Miller Theater in Philadelphia, the comedian, actress and producer Wanda Sykes returns for her second hour-long Netflix comedy special. According to the streamer, the comedian tackles a host of topics from the challenges of raising Gen Z teens to the dilemmas of being a liberal in a hyper charged political climate. Known for her social commentary, Sykes delivers “her insightful and ferocious wit and candor audiences have come to know and love,” reads the official description. The special was filmed in early February 2023.

CBS has handed a pilot order to JumpStart, a multi-camera comedy based on Robb Armstrong’s long-running comic strip. Wayne Conley (The Best Man) penned the TV adaptation. The project, from Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment, Wendy Trilling’s TrillTV and CBS Studios, was among the first CBS buys for the 2023-24 season made last June. The order caps an almost decade-long journey for Kapital to adapt JumpStart for TV.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Kaitlin Olson is set to lead the drama pilot at ABC based on the French detective series “HPI,” Variety has learned. In addition, Rob Thomas (“Veronica Mars,” “Party Down”) has signed on to serve as showrunner while Alethea Jones (“Dollface,” “Shining Vale”) will direct and executive produce the pilot. The project was first ordered to pilot at ABC in September. Per the official logline, “Single mom Morgan (Olson) with three kids and an exceptional mind helps solve an unsolvable crime when she rearranges some evidence during her shift as a cleaner for the police department. When they discover she has a knack for putting things in order because of her high intellectual potential she is brought on as a consultant to work with a by-the-book seasoned detective, and together they form an unusual and unstoppable team.”

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia star and Hacks standout Kaitlin Olson has been tapped as the lead of ABC character-based procedural drama pilot based on TF1’s popular detective series HIP (High Intellectual Potential), from top TV and film writer Drew Goddard and ABC Signature, where Goddard and his Goddard Textiles are based.

The fact that some of the added gigs are in stadiums instead of arenas may ameliorate at least some of those concerns, though. The second leg of the North American tour begins August 9 with a show at Chicago’s Wrigley Field and ends at the close of fall back indoors with shows at L.A.’s Forum on Dec. 4 and 6 and San Francisco’s Chase Center on Dec. 8. Altogether, these additions add up to 22 gigs in 18 cities, with Philadelphia, East Rutherford, NJ, Toronto and L.A. being the four cities that are getting two-night stands — although wide-open holes in the calendar surely allow for additions as these dates sell out.
