Kate Garraway fans 'already sobbing' just minutes into new ITV Derek documentary

Kate Garraway's new documentary Caring For Derek were left in floods of tears just minutes into the ITV programme on Tuesday (February 22) evening.Kate returned to the helm of her ITV show, a follow-on from her award-winning documentary Finding Derek last year, which saw Derek return home from his year-long hospital stint after battling Covid-19.The virus left his organs damaged and Derek needing around-the-clock care after being put into an induced coma.And as he reunited with his children Darcey and William, tugging them close for a hug, fans were left reaching for the tissues.Taking to Twitter, one posted: "Two mins in and I’m crying already!""Just quietly sobbing at watching Derek come home," another added, while a third followed up: "2 minutes in.
