This Morning fans were left annoyed as a loud whirring sound distracted them from the majority of Kate Garraway's interview during the latest episode.Thursday's show (February 24) saw the 54-year-old presenter join Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on the ITV sofa to discuss her recent documentary Caring For Derek. As Kate's interview got underway, a large interference sound played throughout, making it hard for viewers to hear her speak. The sound continued towards the final stages of Kate's interview, where it suddenly ceased without explanation.Posting to Twitter, This Morning viewers shared their joy that the sound had ceased and also their bafflement about its source. One viewer wrote: "Thank god that interference sound has stopped."Another commented: "At last that white noise ends...
driving me nuts."A third said: "Yay only took the sound department 20 minutes to twig on, after 100s of tweets."Meanwhile, a fourth remarked: "Can finally hear the interview and it's over and time for a break.""How long does it take them to fix the sound," another concluded. No explanation was given for the whirring noise later in the episode. The chaos followed a schedule shake-up disrupting This Morning earlier in the show. The programme began five minutes behind schedule in order to accommodate for an ITV news bulletin on the escalating Ukraine-Russia crisis.Explaining the delay, Holly said: "As you might have noticed, there's a slightly different schedule on ITV this morning."We'll be bringing you the latest on the situation in Ukraine via our colleagues at ITV News both at 11am and also at midday."This is a live TV story and is constantly being updated. Please refresh the page regularly to get the latest TV updates.TV & Showbiz.
