Kate Garraway was savagely reprimanded on Friday morning after she failed to pronounce Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamim's name correctly while introducing her on ITV's Good Morning Britain.Things became very uncomfortable fairly quickly when Kate accidentally butchered Dr Shola's surname which forced the medic to correct her before they got into a heated debate on cancel culture.Giving up after her first attempt, Kate said: "Let me do that again."Dr Shola, you say your surname because I'm useless this morning."Appearing via video link, Dr Shola was clearly unimpressed.

The writer replied: "Ok read it phonetically. I'm not going to let you get away with that. "Read it phonetically, read it how you see it." Kate responded: "Ok, Mos-Shogbamimu."Dr Shola then gave the host a round of applause and said: "Well done, just let it roll off your tongue that's it."Trying her best to smooth things over, Kate insisted that she often makes mistakes with surnames. She added: "By the way, I also stumble like that over Smith.

So it's nothing to do with anything else, I just struggle to get my words out most mornings."Seeing the embarrassing scenes unfold, Good Morning Britain viewers rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts on Kate's mishap. One fan penned: "Kate can be considered a journalist/presenter it’s actually lazy not to know you’re guests name tbh white black Indian or other."Another said: "Kate, that’s poor preparation mispronouncing her name.
