Brits have been told to "act now" as river levels are expected to rise and cause mass flooding into next week.Several flood warnings and flood alerts remain in place in the UK as low-lying areas still struggle with the impact of the recent storms.Eight red-level flood warnings have been applied along the River Severn, with 12 amber-level alerts in place in other parts of England.
The red warnings say "flooding is expected - act now", explaining: "We expect river levels to remain high into next week. "We are closely monitoring the situation. "Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services. "Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and avoid contact with flood water."Advanced weather modelling maps from WX Charts show the full extent of the torrential downpours expected to hit the UK on Monday.
A long band of rain can be seen moving from east to west, stretching the entire length of the UK, from Monday afternoon onward.
WX Charts reckon that the south of England, the Midlands and Wales will be the most afflicted regions, with huge spikes in rainfall also coming on Tuesday.
