Advanced weather data from WX Charts predicts that parts of central Scotland will experience bitter lows of -4C as Wednesday turns into Thursday.
Things won't be much better in northern England or Wales where temperatures will drop to -1C to -2C. The rest of the UK should just about manage to stay above freezing, although wind may make it feel cooler.
