The New York Post learned today that the Yeezy creator, Kanye West, has filed to appear as a candidate on the New Jersey ballot for the upcoming presidential election in November.
The state documents purport to confirm the news. According to The Post, the 43-year-old performing artist managed to accrue 1,327 signatures, which is approximately 527 over the requested 800 figure.
The deadline was met on Monday. Reportedly, Kanye has submitted similar paperwork in Missouri a well as in New York. To make it on New York’s ballot, Kanye has to amass 30,000 signatures for Thursday’s deadline.
