Girl 'kicks swan' on camera as police chief issues appeal to track her down

A girl was caught on camera allegedly kicking a swan before another person pushed a concerned onlooker into the canal. Superintendent Andy Cox, of the Metropolitan Police, has issued an appeal to track down the youths after the 'awful' animal cruelty.

Around ten youngsters were involved in the shocking incident in Limehouse, East London, on Friday. In video footage, a girl can be seen holding onto a railing as two swans mate in the water below.

A voice from behind the camera can be heard saying 'she's kicking the swan, she's kicked the swan.' An older man then approaches the group with a rod.
