Apparently so, according to one viral TikTok video which claimed upping your intake of carrots is the secret to giving yourself a natural-looking glow. Although we’re not averse to anything that encourages a balanced diet, we can’t help but think that getting a bronzed glow without sun exposure or faffing around with fake tan definitely seems like it’s too good to be true.To help put the myth to rest once and for all, we spoke to Dr Saniyya Mahmood (MBChB), a GP specialising in dermatology & aesthetic medicine with over eight years experience, who gave us her professional advice on whether this carrot self-tanner hack is legit.
