A pub owner has been given the green light to convert a former Kilwinning boozer into a home.Iain Garrett's plans for the Segton Inn will see the disused watering hole turned into a two-bedroom ground floor flat.The pub, in the town's Bridgend, closed in 2019 and has been deemed 'no longer financially viable' according to planning notes lodged with North Ayrshire Council.And this week planners granted Mr Garrett 'change of use' permission that will see the former licensed premises dramatically revamped.The existing lounge, bar, games room, cellar and associated facilities will be replaced by family accommodation comprising a lounge, dining room, kitchen and two bedrooms, one with an en suite.Internal alterations will also be made to
