This Morning presenter Fern Britton is no stranger to sharing what is on her mind and a resurfaced clip has revealed her brutal comments about Jeremy Kyle Show guests.Fern, 65, presented the popular ITV morning programme as a guest from 1993 but later became a full-time presenter in 1999, fronting the Friday edition.However, she went on to take over as the main presenter in 2002 alongside John Leslie before appearing alongside Phillip Schofield.READ MORE: This Morning fans call for major presenter shift as Vernon Kay and Rochelle host showDuring her time on the show, Fern interviewed some of the biggest names in the world, including Spice Girls star, Melanie C.Now, fans of the I Turn To You songstress have unearthed a clip of Melanie appearing on the show back in 2007, shortly after announcing the group would be reuniting.However, several months prior to her appearance, Melanie had told Fern and Phil that she would not be getting back with the group any time soon.A disgruntled Phillip said: "The last time we spoke to Melanie C, in May this year, she had this to say about the possibility of a Spice Girls reunion," before showing a clip of Melanie explaining she didn't "really want to go back".Phillip added: "When we asked that question, were you thinking 'poker face because I already know'," to which Melanie explained that she couldn't remember the dates."I feel like I'm on Jeremy Kyle actually, I feel like I've just done a lie detector test," joked Melanie."Really? 'No job' Fern Britton claims she faced the 'sack' on This Morning after giving birth
ITV's This Morning had threatened her with the sack if she didn't return to work shortly after giving birth. At the time, Fern was the Friday host of the ITV show alongside John Leslie, but following Judy Finnigan's and Richard Madeley's departure, she had been promoted to the main presenter role, shortly after negotiating her return to work.The 64-year-old spoke candidly on the White Wine Question Time podcast hosted by Kate Thornton today.Fern said that an unnamed male producer told her to return to her presenting role two weeks after giving birth "or there's no job for you".She said that as a mother-of-four the presenter told managers at ITV that at the age of 44 she couldn't just "turn up" so soon after having a baby.The small-screen star claimed that she was told by one male producer "my wife was driving after two weeks" and warned that if she didn't show up she would not have a job anymore.Fern's then-husband Phil Vickery, and father to their daughter Winnie, was also working at ITV as a chef.Speaking on the podcast, Fern said: "It was when Richard and Judy had left, I was pregnant, she [Winnie] was due in September and the show went off air as it used to for the summer and then my boss said 'well you've got to come back.'"I said 'well she's going to be born in September and you go on air in September.
