A dad who died while on a day out with his family has been pictured for the first time. Tributes have been paid to Joe Melia, who was named by friends after his body was found by police on Monday, August 14.
He had been missing since Friday, August 11 after getting into trouble at the Marine Lake in Waterloo, Merseyside, while using a paddleboard.
Members of the public and a number of officers went in to the water to desperately try and save him, but he could not found.
Friends have now confirmed that Joe had been enjoying a day out with his family at the time of the tragic incident, reports the Liverpool ECHO.
