A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of his NHS nurse wife. Craig Woodhall, 40, is accused of knifing mum-of-three Victoria, 31, outside her home last Sunday.
He appeared at Sheffield Crown Court via video link for a 10-minute hearing. A trial was set for September 28 – but Judge Jeremy Richardson QC warned that the “national medical emergency" may change it.
He said: "All being well, it will proceed on that date but we live in slightly uncertain times and I cannot make any guarantees at this time." A further hearing is expected to take place on May 4.
