A woman accused of the murder of pensioner John Rees, 88, at a Co-op shop in a Welsh village has made her first appearance at crown court.
Zara Radcliffe, 29, from Wyndham Street in Tonypandy, made her first appearance at the court today. Michael Jones QC, for the prosecution, said a trial date had been set for October 19 at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court.
Radcliffe, who appeared via video link from HM Eastwood Park Prison in Gloucestershire, was represented by Alexander Greenwood.
Judge Paul Thomas QC said her plea and trial preparation hearing would take place on September 11. She will remain in custody until then, Wales Online reported.
