A man and woman in their 20s have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 1-month-old baby died in what police described as a "tragic and distressing incident".
Thames Valley Police officers were called to a house in Fountain Gardens, Ashridge Court by paramedics t 1.50am on Saturday to reports that 'a 1-month-old baby boy was in cardiac arrest'.
The baby was taken to hospital for treatment but later died. He has since been formally identified as Colby Stroud, who was born on 10 April this year.
On Wednesday, a post-mortem was carried out but the cause of death has not yet been determined. Today, police arrested a 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, both from Newbury, on suspicion of murder.
