One of the world’s worst rapists has died behind bars after a string of sex attacks on prison staff. Twisted Paul Stephen Keating died on Tuesday in Australia’s notorious Casuarina Prison after nearly 40 years behind bars.

He had been in solitary confinement for the last 15 years after holding a prison tutor hostage in a storage room, before dousing her in lighter fluid and raping her at knifepoint.

Another attack involved him “sodomising” a female prison employee in 1992, and an attack on a prison psychologist in 1986. He also raped a woman on overnight work release in 1979, and assaulted two prostitutes after escaping jail in 1984.
