dailystar.co.ukA man has narrowly cheated death after he forced his way through a barrier and walked into the path of an oncoming train. The British Transport Police has now released CCTV footage of the incident, which took place on May 5, to warn the public of the danger of ignoring signs and illegally crossing onto tracks.
In the clip, the man is seen waiting by the barrier on the side of the road at Brimsdown Level Crossing in Enfield, north London.
He slowly makes his way to the gap between the barriers, lifts up one of them and squeezes through the narrow gap. The man takes a glance up and down the track before striding across.
