A teenager falsely accused his girlfriend of cheating on him before brutally attacking her and trying to strangle her with rope.
Charlie Williams, 18, punched, kicked and bit his ex-partner at the flat they shared together in Cardiff after he broke into a furious rage, WalesOnline reports.
After inflicting bruising, swelling and cuts to his victim, the defendant told her that he "should have killed her instead".
When Williams left the flat a couple of days after the attack, she walked the streets to find an acquaintance to lend a phone so she could ring her father who called the police.
