A convicted murderer who has spent 78 years behind bars is begging jail bosses to keep him locked up – because he’ll be lonely on the outside.
Vile Thomas Fairfax was caged in 1968 after cutting the throat of newlywed Claire Josephs, 20, in Bromley, South London. After 49 years behind bars, he now faces a Parole Board hearing on whether he should be released.
