Fire crews were called to tackle an out of control bonfire on Calton Hill in Edinburgh after hundreds gathered to bring in the New Year.
Revellers mingled as they watched fireworks being set off across the capital while police officers carried out routine patrols in the area.Edinburgh Live reports that the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to attend after flames from a fire began to spread.
