A driver with a child passenger onboard fled the wrong way along a motorway after a 100 miles-per-hour police chase.Miraculously, James Garscadden managed to avoid oncoming traffic for three miles before he, a female companion and the youngster abandoned the vehicle.Police in a helicopter saw the trio climb a fence, scramble down an embankment and run off.Hamilton Sheriff Court heard the chase started after police spotted the vehicle in Wishaw.Garscadden, 30, of Glasgow, was jailed for 27 months when he admitted driving dangerously and while disqualified on July 24.Neil Thomson, prosecuting, said officers saw the car in Kirk Road around 8pm and suspected it was bearing false number plates.They activated their blue light and siren, but the
