Police uncover £5k stash of cocaine during raid on East Kilbride home

Cocaine worth £5000 was seized when police officers raided a man’s home in East Kilbride.They also recovered three sets of scales and bags used for packaging white powder, Hamilton Sheriff Court heard on Friday.Dean King, 26, admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine at his house in Mallard Crescent on October 3.He was on bail for another matter at the time.Neil Thomson, prosecuting, said officers armed with a search warrant arrived at 5.45pm.He told the court: “They forced entry to the property and found King inside.“They explained they were there to search for controlled drugs and he said ‘aye, there’s stuff in the drawer’.“In the living room officers found a number of small bags containing white powder and three sets of scales.“
