An American University has been told their fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls are in fact fakes made of old Roman boot leather.
The real ancient texts were found in the Qumran National Park between 1946 and 1956 by Bedouin shepherds in the West Bank. And while the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC believed they had 16 scraps of the originals - they now believe they have actually been 'victims of fraud'.
